Want to learn how to assist people experiencing mental health problems?
GCH has trained facilitators and works in partnership with MHFA (www.mhfa.com.au) to provide the Mental Health First Aid Course.
This course teaches first aid skills for adults to give initial help to those experiencing mental health problems, in a mental health crisis situation, or in the early stages of a mental illness.
It is appropriate for:
- Members of the public
- Workplace teams.
The group training in either standard (adult), blended e-learning or youth mental health first aid can be provided on request, at negotiated cost and pending availability of facilitators.
There are courses designed specifically for adults who work or associate with:
- young people
- other adults
- personal or professional needs.
The course takes 14 hours over two days, a week apart.
There is a charge for this course. The cost is $150 per person to attend.
